To eat means to eat food and not food that is made to look, taste and behave like food. For instance, cake…oh we all love it. Yes, even I had a long love affair with cake, and I ate it all the freaking time. Until, I discovered that cake is not food.

Does it stimulate growth? Oh sure it does, it makes the belly grow. Ugh!

What you want to eat is lots of real foods like fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables come from plants, and they will help you lose weight. I don’t care how you eat them or how much – by the way, good luck binging on broccoli.

Weight Loss Plan for Beginners Step Two- Move more than you sit. You can’t expect to lose weight by sitting all day. Get up from your desk, take a walk, walk up the stairs or go shopping. Whatever it takes to get you moving. And please, stop telling yourself all those 100 excuses why you can’t move…my knee, my back, I don’t have time. If you can get yourself up to the refrigerator or a fast food joint, you can get yourself up to move for health.

Weight Loss Plan for Beginners Step Three – Be uncomfortable as much as you can. Place yourself in uncomfortable situations. Do something that you avoid doing because it’s uncomfortable. Sleep in an awkward position and get used to being uncomfortable because every new habit, including the habits that will help you lose weight, at first, will be very uncomfortable. So get yourself use to moving out of your comfort zone and into an improving zone.

Weight Loss Plan for Beginners Step Four – Drink water. How many cups of coffee are you drinking or sodas? Swap some of those servings for a serving of water. Water is necessary for all kinds of crazy good stuff that goes on inside your body – even weight loss stuff. Plus, it makes your skin glow, and that is always a good thing.

Therefore, before you continue with your weight loss efforts, you have to figure out why you can’t sleep. Sleep is necessary for the body to repair, heal and thrive. Plus, when you get a good night sleep, you have more energy to keep working on losing weight.
