I love making Sofrito ~ a 🇨🇺base sauce used in a lot of recipes. My abuela showed me how to make it when I was 16 + I have been making it since then. What I love best about Sofrito is that it’s made with LOTS of FRESH veggies + herbs 🌱, which makes it a great way to get these magical 💫foods into your beautiful body.

  • 2 Onion - chopped in chunks of 4
  • 2 Whole Peppers - chopped in chunks of 4
  • 2 Whole Tomatoes - chopped in chunks of 4
  • 1 Bunch of fresh cilantro
  • 4 Garlic cloves
  • 1/4 Cup of fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Tablespoon of dry oregano


  • Throw everything in a blender or a food processor and pulse until desired consistency.
  • Place contents in mason jars and refrigerate.
  • Use sofrito in stews, season chicken, soups or on top of a green salad.

Use organic ingredients whenever possible.
